Luke
2:10 (KJV)
And
the angel said unto them, Fear not:
for, behold, I bring you good tidings
of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Give
God the glory and honor for His son, Jesus.
During this holiday season,
let us remember that the angels reported
“good
tidings, ” which means "good news" of great joy.
Then, why have we given Christmas a life of its
own,
commercialized apart from its purpose?
This
holiday season, let us pray for the
purpose of Christmas: no debt, no
depression, no stress.
May
we abide in the real purpose of Christmas: great joy, peace and goodwill
in our homes, in our families and to all people.
Remember
those in bereavement this season and pass the peace.
Matthew
28:18 (KJV)
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
After
Jesus had completed his mission on earth,
He
spoke to his disciples to give them a mission to
continue
the work on earth during His physical absence from them (The Great Commission –
Matthew 28:19-20).
However,
He ensured the disciples that even though He had given
them
power and authority to heal, deliver, etc.
He
is the one with all power and
authority in heaven and earth. That
power and authority was given to Him by God.
Now who
wouldn’t worship and adore a Christ like that during this Christmas season.
There is
no Christmas without Christ.
Whatever
you are praying for, needing, or giving thanks for, turn it over to Christ who
has all power and authority.
Merry
CHRISTmas!
