BE RESTORED, BE EMPOWERED, BE HEALED AND BE FREE

BE RESTORED, BE EMPOWERED,

BE HEALED AND BE FREE

Colossians 3:13 NIV

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Forgiveness is restorative and healing for the soul.  Did you know that you can suffer from physical illness and disease in your body because you're harboring bitterness?  The debt of not forgiving someone is a heavy price to pay.  It's literally self-destruction.  Cast your cares, hurts and problems with people on The Lord.  He will fight your battles.  Restore and heal your body by forgiving those who you feel don't deserve it.  Cry it out and pray over it.  Don't carry the bitterness around your neck like a noose.  Be restored, be healed, be empowered and be free.

FORGIVE OTHERS AS HE FORGAVE US

FORGIVE OTHERS AS HE FORGAVE US

Matthew 6:12; 14-15 (NIV)
12 And forgive us our debs as we also have forgiven our debtors.
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Father will also forgive you. 15 But, if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Luke 23:34 (NIV)
34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."  (a) And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Who could forgive someone as they are being persecuted and harmed?  Christ did.  Even as He was being crucified on the cross, he asked for forgiveness of his transgressors.  Our God who is almighty is also merciful.

We live in a mean world today, how can we possibly forgive all the hurt and harm?  Devout prayer and faith that God is just.  He is aware of all that is being done around the world today.  He is taking note and His promises are based on His Word.  Check out Psalms 27 and 37.  We will see God's hand at work - just trust Him.  There's strength and empowerment in forgiving.

LET IT GO - THE BURDEN OF BITTERNESS

Let it Go:  The Burden of Bitterness is Too Much to Bear

Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV

31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Free yourself from the burden of unforgiveness.
The burden is too heavy and damaging.
Let it go so that you may be able to live life abundantly.
Know that there will always be people
who do not and never will have your best interest at heart.
Even Christ himself was betrayed.
The peace and joy that God gives outweighs the burden of bitterness.
You will feel so much better when you just let it go and let God handle the rest.

FORGIVENESS AND LOVE

FORGIVENESS AND LOVE

Matthew 18:21-22
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”   22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
There is no limit or timeline on forgiveness.  God forgives us; therefore, we must forgive others.  While forgiveness is freedom; it does not come easy.  We just don't have a world that's full of nice people who always do kind things.  But, there are some good and nice people in the world.  One cannot forgive without love - agape love, brotherly love.  Therefore, we can go to God in secret prayer and ask Him to bless us to love as He loves.  That's the first step to forgiveness.  Forgiveness and love work better together.
Once you forgive, you have released the burden of unforgiveness.  Unforgiveness brings hurt, bitterness, anger, pain and stagnation.  So, unforgiveness is harmful to your physical and mental health.  Free yourself, obey Christ's instructions and live your life abundantly.  Don't let pride get in the way of your blessing - forgive and love.
