WHAT ARE YOU BRAGGING ABOUT?
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should
boast.
We can only brag about what God has
done for us in spite of ourselves. Not because we were so
deserving. We’re just beneficiaries of God’s grace and mercy.
It is with His grace that we are
blessed. Even though we may not be diligent in our giving, forgiveness,
kindness, compassion, stewardship, talent, skills, patience, faith, etc. God
still blesses us.
He withholds the punishment we should
receive by replacing punishment with His loving mercy.
