A GOD OF COMFORT

A GOD OF COMFORT

SCRIPTURE 2 Corinthians 1:3-4NIV
 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

SCRIPTURE:  2 Corinthians 1:3-4KJV
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

In times like these; in the wake of Charleston, SC, bereavement, violence, stress, sickness, and all the ills of the world; may we be reminded that we serve a just God who knows and sees all that is happening.  He is waiting for us to turn our hearts and minds toward Him for comfort, peace  and hope.  Have faith.

Everyone is given a test and has a testimony in order to help and guide someone else.  Receive the comfort of the Lord today, in spite of what we see, hear and experience.  God can give us peace and comfort in a way that only HE can.  “Hope, Peace, and Faith” during times like these, in the name of Jesus.

  2. Talk about the Comfort of God!!! The morning of August 6, I was driving 70 mph on the Sawgrass Exp. when the car to my right starting drifting into my lane. To avoid hitting him I moved to the left with the intention of stopping on the shoulder but instead I drove into the median, mowed down a palm tree, flipped over a few times and while airborne clipped the top half of a second palm tree before landing. Now I tell you my story to bring you back to the original "Comfort of God" message. When I was headed straight towards the first tree, I became completely calm. I didn't scream, I wasn't nervous or anxious.......I was COMPLETELY CALM! When flipping over it felt like slow motion and surreal. I WAS CRADLED IN THE COMFORT OF GOD!!! I got out of the car on the passenger side and walked to the road where the ambulance was waiting. On the way to the ambulance, a police woman said to me, "Do you know how lucky you are?" I grabbed her hand and looked her into her eyes and said, "This isn't luck hon, this is the favor of God." Everyone that said that I was lucky I would politely correct them and let them know that this is blessings, not luck. A vehicular homicide detective came to the hospital to make a report and was surprised to see me sitting on a cot waiting for my x-ray results (no broken bones). He told me that based on the pictures that was sent to him, he was expecting me to be dying or dead. I left from all this with bumps and bruises. PRAISE GOD! In the natural......I'm not suppose to be alive.......BUT GOD! The Comfort of God gives you peace and joy! I know God is not finish with me yet and I asked God to reveal to me his plan for me so WE can get busy! Folks, love, hug, kiss and forgive your friends and relatives......tomorrow is not promised to you. Peace
